Broadband on a Budget   1 comment

What is with the price of internet service these days?  Regional ISP’s (Internet Service Providers), such as your cable company, keep jacking their rates and we are just supposed to bend over and take it?  I don’t know about you but I am looking to cut back any way I can these days.  There has to be a better way!

I recently had a friend call me and rant about her recent internet bill; she noticed that her monthly internet rate went up again.  She said “My rates keep going up but my internet isn’t getting any faster.”  She made an absolute valid point and of course me being in the IT field I had to put my two cents in…..Broadband!

What is Broadband? Broadband is high-speed internet access that is always on, compared to dial up (remember the “Welcome,” you would get when you logged into your AOL account back in the early 90’s after waiting 5 minutes to connect) which you have to log in each time you want to connect to the internet and you don’t need a second phone line.  Broadband is practical and always available, running at high speed all the time.  Broadbands higher-speed of transmissions allows more information to be carried through the network and also may be necessary to receive the full range of services the internet has to offer such as web conferencing, VoIP (Internet Phone), music downloads, multi-player games and Netflix.
So why pay more for Broadband internet; they take you to the same internet.  Cable broadband internet can cost $60/month or more, even with those overpriced 2 year commitment bundles.

TurnKey Online now offers High-Speed DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) and Broadband in 38 states, starting at rates as low as $29.95/month with NO contract, NO commitment.  These services also include FREE Voxwire (web conferencing), 5GB of TurnKey Vault personal Backup space and 25GB of TurnKey Mail.  From speeds of 1Mbps to 7Mbps, YOU decide how fast you want to browse the internet.

  1. My spouse and i got more than happy that Peter could complete his analysis out of the precious recommendations he acquired in your weblog. It’s not at all simplistic just to always be making a gift of hints which others might have been trying to sell. And now we figure out we now have the website owner to give thanks to because of that. The specific explanations you have made, the straightforward website menu, the friendships your site help to instill – it’s mostly great, and it’s really helping our son in addition to the family reckon that the subject matter is excellent, and that is seriously indispensable. Thank you for the whole lot!
