fiber-optic network connectivity, Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) battery

fire suppression systems and utilize biometric secured entry access points
with 24/7 video surveillance.
A Data-Center is a physical
building or space that is designed from the ground up for providing
uninterrupted service (electric power, 24x7 monitored security, cooling,
high capacity fiber optic Internet connections, fire protection etc).
Data-Centers are the ideal location for placing mission critical Internet
services such as web hosting, email hosting, and high speed connection
points. Data-Centers often are refereed to as Carrier Hotels since multiple
carriers will often operate from within a Data-Center to provide connections
to one another.

Data-Center Features
Network Connectivity:
TurnKey Internet utilizes multiple redundant high speed fiber optic
connections in each data-center. Utilizing edge routers from industry
performance leader Juniper Networks and
Cisco throughout our network core for
internal routers and switches we ensure the ultimate in network performance.
All our core network locations have multiple routers and switches to ensure
hardware redundancy. All our switches run at wire speed and our core routers
are capable of over 40Gbps capacity.
Power Systems with Distributed Redundancy:
Highly reliable power is imperative for critical customer operations.
Electrical AC power delivery is provided via distributed redundant UPS
system batteries with at least 12 minutes full load operation (on-site
diesel engine generators take roughly 8 seconds to synchronize and assume
load). There is 48 hours worth of generator fuel on-site and contracts with
multiple fuel providers to ensure a constant flow of diesel to the
generator.
Fire Protection:
(VESDA) - Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus is installed in every
facility. These highly sensitive aspirating smoke detectors are linked to
the Building Management systems which are monitored continually to provide
very early detection and avoid costly fires or business disruption. This is
coupled with a waterless gas based fire retardant (FM200) system that is
environmentally friendly to put out fires instantly without damaging
equipment.
Air Conditioning:
To ensure optimum performance, the data-centers are maintained at a constant
68°F ± 2°F and relative humidity is kept at 50% ± 10%. Both are continually
monitored to ensure proper requirements.
Building Security:
All facilities are secured and monitored 24 hours a day. Biometric scanners
are required for entry and exit at every access point, video surveillance
monitors access points and the data-center floor 24/7. All servers are
within locked cabinet enclosures within the data-center floor. All customer
access is provided only by escorted TurnKey Internet personnel.
Monitoring:
All physical access is monitored 24/7 by video surveillance, and all servers
and network connections are continuously monitored by customized
geo-positioned monitoring stations throughout the United States and Europe.

connections or server daemons taking slightly longer to reply provide
