Your server already comes with 1 or more dedicated 'static' IP addresses. These IP addresses are unique and exclusively used only by you and your server (there is no sharing of IP addresses between multiple servers or customers). You can utilize a single IP address on your server to host thousands of your own web sites without any issues; but for those who need more IP addresses, they can be purchased on a monthly basis for your server. The most common reasons for needing more IP addresses are:

	Multiple SSL-enabled web sites, each with their own Private SSL Certificate. (You must have 1 IP address for every SSL-enabled web site)
	Setup of Multiple Domain Name Servers (DNS) such as ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com
	Search Engine-friendly design: you may want to put your most popular web sites on their own IP address to reduce the likelihood of search engine and spam-blocking associated with another web site on the same IP (for example: a business-oriented web site and a sports-related web site on the same IP may garner less rankings)
