When one of our technicians is requested by the client to access their co-located server with a monitor and keyboard, this is called remote hands services. Remote hands services are billed our regular hourly rate in 30 minute increments. Each task requiring remote hands is a minimum 15 minute remote hands fee.
Some examples of remote hands services are:
- Changing account passwords.
- Modifying software firewall settings.
- Starting/stopping services.
- Changing BIOS settings.
- Viewing/modifying hardware RAID configuration.
- Hardware diagnostics and/or servicing.
- Adding or changing cable configurations.
